Nu-Rave Radio has been building a reputation for itself by bringing back the early 90s UK Rave sound and taking it into the future with brand new music and new producers. No where else can you hear such a diverse and all encompassing range of sounds from the scene’s leading producers world-wide each and every Sunday.

This Sunday (25th May) we really push out the boat and feature live sets broadcast not only from the U.K., but also Australia and Poland, and will be joined by The Godfather of Hardcore - [b]SLIPMATT[/b]! If you love your Old Skool but are looking for something new and futuristic then this will most definitely be for you. Once again I’ll be doing a special annual show on Tuesday 8th January 2008 where I’ll be playing the best in Hardcore Breaks / Nu Rave from the past 12 months, as voted by you! Last year DJs and listeners voted Simon Holmes - Rave Be Good To Me as their favourite tune of 2006, who’s going to be this years winner?

The format of voting remains the same as last year. Please vote for your favourite 10 tunes from the past 12 months. It’s going to be a tough choice and so the order of the tunes isn’t important as all will gain points. You can submit your votes in several ways, either by posting a response to this thread, or by sending an email with your top 10 to bestof2007@breakpirates.com

The important stuff:

• List your favourite 10 Hardcore Breaks / Nu Rave tunes of 2007.
• These do NOT have to be tunes that I’ve played on the shows through the year.
• The tunes should have been either produced or released in 2007, so unreleased stuff is still valid.
• Each tune voted for will receive ONE point, regardless of where it appears in your list, so position isn’t important.
• You shouldn’t vote for your own tunes.

Here’s to a great 2007!

First of all a big thanks to everyone who took the time to vote for their favourite Hardcore Breaks tunes of the year. There was an enormous list of different tunes nominated (80+) which not only shows how many tunes have been released this year but how difficult it has been to select your top few!

So that just leaves us with one thing - to announce the winners! So tune into Break Pirates this coming Tuesday night, 2nd January 2007 from 8:30pm (UK time) where I’ll be playing your favourite tunes of the year!

Christmas is always a bit of a quiet time when it comes to new tunes, with most choosing instead to practice their drinking and eating skills (well why not?), so Januarys New & Unsigned show is going to be a bit different. Basically what we’ll be doing is a “Best of 2006″ show where a chart will be compiled of your favourite Hardcore Breaks tunes of the year.

So this is where you get involved! I know it’s going to be tough, but we want to know what everyones top tunes of the year have been, be that released or unreleased. Once you’ve decided on your top 10 email your list to tunesof2006@hardcorebreaks.com. Each tune nominated will receive a single vote so there’s no need to decide which is your favourite.

The results will be compiled and the top voted-for tunes played on the January edition of the show, taking place on Tuesday 2nd January 2007!
