As voted by you!
I won’t number them up as some tunes did get the same number of votes as others, but Rave Be Good To Me did end up tops!
Apologies to N&A as I actually played their tune earlier in the show, but they actually came joint 2nd!
Here’s to a great 2007!
First of all a big thanks to everyone who took the time to vote for their favourite Hardcore Breaks tunes of the year. There was an enormous list of different tunes nominated (80+) which not only shows how many tunes have been released this year but how difficult it has been to select your top few!
So that just leaves us with one thing - to announce the winners! So tune into Break Pirates this coming Tuesday night, 2nd January 2007 from 8:30pm (UK time)Â where I’ll be playing your favourite tunes of the year!
DJ SNYPA and DJ TRIX are proud to announce the official launch of PITCH CONTROL [PC].Â
[PC] will be dedicated to the continuing growth and enhancement of the burgoning Hardcore Breaks scene in the UK and across Europe. We will be showcasing the freshest, producers around, alongside brand new, upfront productions from our own stable.
Brand new material from the likes of DJ Squirrel, 3Flow, ESP, DJ Twista, Snypa, Trix, DJ Rapid and many, many more new artists alongisde some exclusive productions for [PC] from established artsists such as DJ Sike, Stu Chapman And Mr Nee, Nervous + Anxious, Drift. Also look out for some hugely exciting new material from some of the Old Skool scene’s legendary DJ’s and Producers including DJ SPINBACK.
This is not just another label launch and one off record release. This is the focus point of a coalition of products from the [PC] name which will encompass, record releases, rave events, merchandise, radio and much much more over the coming months.
MOST IMPORTANT of all though and beyond doubt, this is an “open forum” coalition which will bring together all the aspects of “our” scene, giving any producer with quality idea’s the chance to join us and release material to a growing market. The chance to share idea’s and be part of the new wave of Hardcore Breaks productions and events in 2007 and beyond. This is not a “gentlemens club” of cliquey of friends and producers, this is a label set up to help grow the scene and encourage new idea’s and high quality prodcutions from you the raver.
For our we first release for 2007, Pitch Control Vol 1, we are using some of the finest produers who have already released wicked material in the Hardcore Breaks Scene alongside Drift who is making his debut Hardcore Breaks release. Watch this space for some more Drift anthems.

Christmas is always a bit of a quiet time when it comes to new tunes, with most choosing instead to practice their drinking and eating skills (well why not?), so Januarys New & Unsigned show is going to be a bit different. Basically what we’ll be doing is a “Best of 2006″ show where a chart will be compiled of your favourite Hardcore Breaks tunes of the year.
So this is where you get involved! I know it’s going to be tough, but we want to know what everyones top tunes of the year have been, be that released or unreleased. Once you’ve decided on your top 10 email your list to tunesof2006@hardcorebreaks.com. Each tune nominated will receive a single vote so there’s no need to decide which is your favourite.
The results will be compiled and the top voted-for tunes played on the January edition of the show, taking place on Tuesday 2nd January 2007!
If you’re looking for a bit of inspiration check out some of the tracklistings from past shows!
